Tip of the day 2

Tip of the day 2: How to tell if clear stamps are cheap silicone or quality photo-polymer.

If you are in a shop and unsure if the stamps you are looking at are silicone or photo-polymer open the packet and smell them. Photo-polymer have a sweet smell, whereas silicone doesn’t smell. If you want to know why you’d care. Dye based ink tends to pool on silicone and therefore doesn’t stamp a good image. Silicone repels everything that is why it is used for non stick baking products.
