Tip of the day 15 Scoring card.
There are many different score boards on the market and most now are just for scoring a straight line for folding your cards in half or making boxes. But before embossing folders and die cutting machines embossing was done either with score boards or metal stencils and a light box. The trick then, (which still works if you just want to fold your card in half) to make it easier and smoother to score your card was to rub your card with either soap or a candle. I always used a bar of soap because it smells nice. I now prefer to rub my embossing tool on a bar of soap before doing my embossing or scoring. It does make it easier. Try it.
