Sketch inspiration with Altenew

Seven Hills Crafts have a sketch challenge for July. So I have got out some of my Altenew supplies to make a card for this challenge.

I started by cutting down an orange piece of card from my stash to UK A6 size and then rounding the corners with a corner rounder punch. To give some interest to this piece of card I stamped the bouquet type image from Beautiful Day Stamp Set“>Altenew’s Beautiful Day stamp set in Sunkissed ink for a tone on tone effect.  I then found two scrap strips of white card, (I always keep these for stamping sentiments on), one of these had a crease in it so instead of chucking it I ran it through an embossing folder. The other piece I used the smallest stamp from Beautiful Day Stamp & Die Bundle“>Altenew’s Beautiful Day stamp set and stamped it randomly with deep iris ink. I then used a ball embossing tool to stamp sunkissed ink middles to the flowers, (a tip I got from Jennifer Mcguire).

I found the flower, (also from the Beautiful Day set) already stamped and cut out and thought this was a great topper for this card. To tie it in with the card I used the ball tool again to add some sunkissed ink to the centre of the flower.

The sentiment is from the Modern Deer stamp set and is also stamped with deep iris ink. I finished the envelope with the bouquet image with deep iris ink.

This post contains affiliate links for Altenew’s website. I will get a small profit is used at no cost to you. This is the best place to buy if in the US, but here in the UK Seven Hills Crafts is a better place to purchase to avoid custom taxes.

For other equipment I have used to make this card these are the Amazon affiliate links –

Thanks for looking.

Keep it Crafty!
