Deer Dad

Here is a card I made for Father’s Day. It is fairly simple, but I think effective.

I have used Altenew’s Modern deer stamp set and Clarity stamp letterbox stamp set.

Card making, Craft

Lonely bird.

Hello everyone,

Today I’ve made a card using various Altenew stamps.

I started by stamping my bird with versafine vintage sepia ink and then masked him off, before stamping my leaves. I used a flower from botanical garden for my leaves, but only inked up the bottom half of the stamp so as not to stamp the flower.

I then ink blended the background with mustard seed distress ink before water colouring the images with mowed lawn and walnut stain distress inks.

I dropped water onto the background and lifted it with a paper towel to give texture to the background.

I then stamped the miss you sentiment from painted greetings with mowed lawn distress ink and the love you! sentiment which is a partially inked sentiment from Best Mom which reads I love you. I stamped this with versafine vintage sepia.

I finished off the card by ink blending around the edge of the card with walnut stain distress ink before mounting the panel onto a 5″ x 7″ card blank.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges –

I was inspired by Altenew’s Octobers inspiration challenge picture

and also by CAS(E) this sketch #195

and would like to enter this card into these challenges.
